Meet Gateway EV every first Sunday of the month at 2 pm. Schlafly Bottleworks brewpub in Maplewood, Missouri provides space for folks to learn about our group and electric alternatives to gas guzzling, pollution spewing internal combustion vehicles. Speakers present EV topics, knowledge, and experiences. Join the club or just join the conversation! Please email the club or me with questions. You can always join the discussion at our forum, too.

Volt Jump-Starts GM
Carmakers worldwide face grim realities. General Motors "Volt" may be Detroit's first response
to the challenges of global warming, rising fuel prices, tougher C.A.F.E. standards and the
international competition for greener transportation. Volt could change GM's image and future -
or it could be a very elaborate game of smoke and mirrors.

Will hybrid cars solve the environmental and oil problems? It may not be that simple. There may be a better answer.
On September 16, George, his wife Ginny, and Ron Erb, enjoyed the

Plug-in Prius. The international organization, Green
Drinks brings people together
to discuss sustainability. The
October 21st St Louis meeting will feature Green Careers.

Millie and Ron Erb visited Carlyle, Illinois to show their 96 Ford Ranger
conversion. People are amazed that it

overnight charge!
St Louis Earth Day, April 20, 2008
GatewayEV's first public appearance took place in
beautiful Forest Park. Many
interested folks encouraged our efforts and a few even joined the club! This outing reinforced
the value of getting the word
out that Electric Vehicles can be a practical "second car" for many people.
